While our office provides all the traditional services for medical dermatology, our emphasis is on difficult to treat and/or diagnose skin conditions.
Some of the dermatologic services we provide:
Individualized treatment options which include topical-only treatments, non-antibiotic strategies, correcting hormonal imbalance, distinguishing acne-like conditions that mimic acne.
Offer non-steroid options for treatment, strategies to control itching, identify factors leading to exacerbations and flares.
Understanding the effects on the rest of the body including increased risk of arthritis, heart disease and intestinal disease; individualizing systemic treatment options to minimize risk while providing the best efficacy, coordinating care with other specialists
Identifying factors leading to exacerbation and flare, offering non-antibiotic options for control, maximizing topical treatment strategies to minimize oral therapy, reducing redness
Empowering parents with treatments that are safe and effective while coordinating care with the pediatrician
Identify risk factors and educate what are significant skin changes, provide examples of how to identify concerning changes (such as “smudging” color changes in moles, evolving patterns of pigmentation)
Offer non-surgical options for early non-melanoma skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma), offer preventive strategies to reduce the likelihood of new skin cancers
